The United States incarcerates more people than anywhere in the world. Here are a few numbers to give you a better idea of how it breaksdown and what they mean.

  • US Prison & Jail Population which Represents 25% of the Worlds Prisoners

  • Almost 50% of Federal Inmates are Incarcerated because of a Nonviolent Drug Conviction

  • Blacks are 13% of the US Population

  • Of those Prisoners more than Half were Rearrested by the end of the First Year
